Education Town Hall


This Town Hall, hosted by the 100 Black Men of Upstate SC on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, with The Spartanburg Academic Movement, presents current statistics, responses and opportunities provided by 2 and 4-year institutions, and student perspectives surrounding higher education during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Presenters include: Dr. Russell Booker, Executive Director, The Spartanburg Academic Movement; Ms. Donnette Steward, Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Services, USC Upstate; Dr. Michael Mikota, President, Spartanburg Community College; Dr. Dwaun Warmack, President, Claflin University; Ms. Jessica Igollo-Ogele, senior, Dorman High School; Mr. Nehemiah Chandler, senior, USC Upstate; and Mr. Leon Wiles, President, and Mr. Greg Stephens, Vice President of Programs for the 100 Black Men of Upstate SC.
